The west of the country is the most important part of Cuba, and it also has the highest tourist relevance.

In the far west, in the province of Pinar del Rio, there are two important natural World Heritage Sites. These include the particularly popular Viñales Valley, and the Las Terrazas & Soroa Biosphere Reserves, both set in a stunning landscape. Without any doubt, these resorts are worth a visit - not only for nature enthusiasts.

Just a few driving minutes east of these attractions lies the busy capital Havana, the undisputed political, cultural and economic center of the country. The Cuban capital offers visitors a variety of exciting sights, with Havana's historic city center undoubtedly being the most important and a must-see on every journey around Cuba.

About a two-hour drive west of the capital lies the popular destination of Varadero, located on a narrow peninsula. With well over a million annual visitors, the Cuban Miami Beach is by far the most frequently visited swimming and leisure paradise on the entire island.
